Mentor Learner may charge subscription or listing fees to access premium matching features. Subscription pricing, billing cycles, and terms will be clearly displayed before purchase.
Tuition payments for mentoring services are handled directly between teachers and students, unless explicitly managed or specified otherwise by the platform.
09. Teacher Responsibilities
Teachers listing their services on the Platform agree to:
- Provide accurate academic qualifications, background information, rates, and subject expertise.
- Maintain a professional code of conduct, show punctuality, and deliver high-quality instruction.
- Comply with all local tax, educational, and legal compliance mandates.
- Ensure safety guidelines are respected during any home or online interactions.
10. Student Responsibilities
Students using the Platform agree to:
- Use the platform solely for educational, tutoring, and skill-sharing purposes.
- Conduct themselves respectfully, show punctuality, and maintain appropriate behavior during classes.
- Pay agreed tuition fees to the selected teacher in a timely manner according to direct terms.
11. Parent and Guardian Responsibilities
Parents and legal guardians are responsible for:
- Supervising the learning arrangements and online lesson sessions of minor students.
- Verifying the background, qualifications, and suitability of tutors prior to hiring.
- Ensuring a safe, suitable environment for home tuition and online instruction.
12. Home Tuition Terms
Mentor Learner operates exclusively to introduce matching parties. We do not participate in, control, or monitor home or offline tuition arrangements.
Users are entirely responsible for conducting their own safety evaluations, location verification, background checks, and negotiating clear tuition contracts prior to commencing any offline classes.
13. Online Tuition Terms
For online, video-enabled tuition services:
- Users must manage their own internet connections, compatible hardware devices, and webcams.
- Punctuality and professional etiquette must be maintained by both student and teacher during web calls.
- Unlawful recording, distribution of class lectures, or filming without mutual consent is strictly prohibited.
14. Communication Between Users
The Platform provides client messaging options. Any harassment, spamming, fraudulent offers, commercial advertisement, chain messages, or abusive dialogue between users is strictly forbidden and may result in immediate ban.
15. Ratings and Reviews
Ratings and reviews posted by users must reflect real experiences and be lawful and polite. Mentor Learner maintains sole discretion to monitor, edit, hide, or delete reviews that violate platform policies or applicable Indian laws.
16. User Content
Users retain copyright ownership of reviews, bios, certificates, and content uploaded.
By publishing content, you grant Mentor Learner a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, sublicensable license to store, translate, display, adapt, and distribute your content across the Platform to facilitate matchings.
17. Intellectual Property Rights
All proprietary platform content, text, trademarks, brand name, logos, graphics, source code, designs, layouts, database architectures, and software are owned by Mentor Learner or its licensors.
Users are strictly prohibited from copying, adapting, scrapings, modifying, distributing, or commercially exploiting platform content without our explicit, prior written permission.
18. Acceptable Use Policy
You agree to use the Platform legally, ethically, and strictly for genuine educational purposes. You must not attempt to compromise the network security, load capacity, server availability, database infrastructure, or integrity of Mentor Learner.
19. Prohibited Activities
Specific actions that violate these terms and are strictly prohibited:
- Creating fake accounts, listings, reviews, or impersonating other individuals.
- Uploading unlawful, infringing, obscene, libelous, or defamatory content.
- Distributing malware, viruses, trojans, or launching DDoS actions against the server.
- Sending unsolicited spam, ads, or using platform chat details for direct marketing.
- Using automated scripts, scrapers, bots, or spiders to scrape profile entries or details.
20. Identity Verification
Mentor Learner reserves the right to request identity proofs, police clearances, academic degrees, and verification credentials.
Verification stamps or checkmarks improve network trust but do not serve as an endorsement, guarantee, or representation by Mentor Learner regarding actual user safety, qualifications, or behavioral conduct.
21. Safety Guidelines
Safety is a shared priority. We strongly advise all users to adhere to these best practices:
- Exercise high caution when meeting new users offline or arranging home tuition details.
- Independently verify certificates, identity cards, and teaching experience before hiring.
- Avoid disclosing private details (bank logins, absolute home locations, personal diaries) prematurely.
- Promptly report any suspicious communication, safety issues, or bad behavior to support.
22. Third-Party Services
The Platform may integrate third-party payment gateways, hosting systems, analytics trackers, or map coordinates.
Mentor Learner is not responsible for the privacy practices, content, terms, security protocols, or performance failures of external third-party services.
23. Account Suspension and Termination
Mentor Learner may suspend, restrict, or terminate your account access at any time, without prior notice, if we believe you have breached these Terms, violated local Indian legislation, or compromised the security and safety of platform users.
24. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Platform is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
Mentor Learner does not guarantee continuous, error-free platform access, specific learning/academic outcomes, tutor performance quality, student conduct, or database accuracy.
25. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable Indian laws, Mentor Learner shall not be held liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, goodwill, or personal safety incidents arising from your platform usage.
Our total liability, where legally applicable, is strictly limited to the amount paid by you (if any) to Mentor Learner in the preceding twelve months.
26. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Mentor Learner and its affiliates, directors, and employees from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Platform, breach of these Terms, or infringement of third-party IP rights.
27. Force Majeure
Mentor Learner is not liable for any failure or delay in executing platform operations resulting from events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, acts of God, internet outages, hacking attacks, labor strikes, pandemics, or government orders.
28. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed, construed, and interpreted in accordance with the laws of India.
The courts situated near Mentor Learner’s registered corporate office shall possess exclusive jurisdiction to adjudicate any claims, legal proceedings, or dispute resolutions.
29. Dispute Resolution
In the event of any disputes, you agree to first contact our support desk to resolve the issue amicably.
If an amicable settlement is not reached, disputes may be referred to mediation, arbitration, or the competent jurisdictional courts as permitted under local Indian law.
30. Changes to the Terms
Mentor Learner reserves the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. The updated document will be posted directly on this page.
Your continued use of the Platform after the changes are published constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
